Create and Produce Your Ideal Vision

Welcome to our Blog! I thank you for taking the time to discover your own Ways of Genius. First off, what is Genius? Wikipedia goes on to define it as such: Genius (plural geniuses[1][2]) is something or someone embodying exceptional intellectual ability, creativity, or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of unprecedented insight.

Wikipedia shares some info on the origin of the word too. In ancient Rome, the genius (plural genii) was the guiding spirit or tutelary deity of a person, family (gens), or place (genius loci).[4] The noun is related to the Latin verb gigno, genui, genitus, "to bring into being, create, produce." Because the achievements of exceptional individuals seemed to indicate the presence of a particularly powerful genius, by the time of Augustus the word began to acquire its secondary meaning of "inspiration, talent."

This is a great start but let's see what one of my favorite online resources, etymonline.com, has to say: genius late 14c., "tutelary god (classical or pagan)," from L. genius "guardian deity or spirit which watches over each person from birth; spirit, incarnation, wit, talent;" also "prophetic skill," originally "generative power," from root of gignere "beget, produce" (see kin), from PIE base *gen- "produce." Sense of "characteristic disposition" is from 1580s. Meaning "person of natural intelligence or talent" and that of "natural ability" are first recorded 1640s.

This is the concept Ways of Genius addresses and hopes to inspire in your life. The conception of "generative power" that is able to "bring into being, to create and to produce" ... to beget the life (mentally, spiritually, and physically) your heart desires. What does genius mean to you?
